October Snow in Winter Park

Winter Park in northern Colorado was slammed with its first major snowstorm this season.  The snow has been coming down at a rate of two inches each hour, and it’s anticipated that the Winter Park area can expect at least a foot of fresh powder before the storm lets up.

This early snow is certainly a sign of the great ski season to come. Winter Park Resort opens its lifts on November 17—just three and half short weeks away. Special rates on lift tickets and lodging packages go into effect November 3rd so be sure to contact a destination expert for details.
