Dirty Roosters Mud Run
At VacationRoost we find happiness in the little things, and we are certainly not afraid to get down and dirty. This past weekend 15 friends and co-workers participated along with 4000 tenacious runners in the First Annual Dirty Dash at Soldier Hollow in Midway, UT. We ran, walked, crawled, swam, slipped and slid through 10K of muddy military obstacles. The course had us climbing up duel five-foot walls, jumping over towering bales of hay, inching through three-foot wide tubes, leaping through lines of tires, and culminated in an adult-sized slip ‘n slide that launched us into a muddy lagoon.
We had three teams, Dirty Roosters, Rowdy Roosters and Slow Roasted. Our Dirty Roosters consisted of five individuals that compete in regular fitness competitions. The Rowdy Roosters were made up of those of us that wanted to wallow in the mud as long as possible. The Slow Roasted team included a group of roosters that had no agenda except to enjoy themselves and hopefully cross the finish line at some point during the day.
We all signed up for the next round of what some might call punishment, but those of us that participated agree that the Dirty Dash was one of the greatest races of all time, proving once and for all that VacationRoost employs some of the coolest folks around.

Man, that looked like fun! We did the muddy buddy which looks very
similiar excluding the rooster hats.
Awesome!
